KeyBank is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead small to mid‑sized projects or phases of larger initiatives. This role guides projects from initial concept through final implementation using established project, change, and risk management methodologies. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, and comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments.
This is a W2 contract role with a hybrid schedule, requiring candidates to live within commuting distance of one of the listed locations.
Partner with business leaders to define project scope, objectives, requirements, deliverables, and value proposition
Develop integrated project plans, manage dependencies, identify critical paths, and track/report project milestones
Coordinate across multiple delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid)
Lead communication planning, execution, and reporting for project teams and stakeholders
Drive change management activities including communication, training, and adoption planning
Identify, track, and resolve issues; escalate risks with recommended mitigation strategies
Support business case development and project initiation activities
Facilitate project checkpoints, remove delivery bottlenecks, and ensure alignment with standards
Gather and validate resource estimates; track utilization; coordinate onboarding/offboarding of project resources
Manage project budgets, financials, and vendor labor performance
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
PMI certification preferred
5+ years of increasingly complex project management experience
Experience in financial services strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation
Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and drive outcomes across diverse teams
Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and connect strategic goals to execution
Organized, self‑directed, and able to build trusted relationships with stakeholders
