The Customer Engagement Specialist is a proactive, outbound-focused sales support role dedicated to initiating meaningful interactions with potential and existing customers to identify promising sales opportunities. This position centers on cold outreach, relationship building, and qualifying leads, acting as a vital source of new business for the sales team.
Note: This role does not involve closing sales. The primary goal is to spark interest, uncover prospects, and pass along high-potential leads to our consultants for further engagement, product demonstrations, and finalizing deals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prospecting & Engagement
- Make high-volume outbound calls to potential clients, including physicians, medspas, and aesthetic service providers.
- Reconnect with current clients to discuss potential upgrades, expansions, or replacement solutions based on staffing and operational needs.
- Present the company’s aesthetic solutions at an introductory level to gauge interest and timing.
- Professionally engage and navigate through gatekeepers to reach key decision-makers.
Lead Qualification & Handoff
- Assess and qualify opportunities using set criteria (such as business type, access to decision-makers, timing, budget, and intent).
- Thoroughly record call results and opportunity details using Salesforce or another CRM platform.
- Forward qualified leads and comprehensive notes to Aesthetic Consultants for follow-up and closure.
- Ensure leads are handed off promptly and efficiently to support high conversion rates and productivity.
Pipeline Support & Activity Tracking
- Maintain steady outbound activity in line with performance targets.
- Keep detailed records of outreach and follow-up to ensure potential leads are not overlooked.
- Partner with sales leadership to enhance messaging, targeting, and qualification criteria.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required), or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, or client engagement.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a sales, inside sales, or call center environment (experience in medical device or technology sales is a plus).
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for building quick connections and rapport.
- Self-driven, goal-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is beneficial.
- Genuine interest in aesthetics technology and a desire to grow in consultative sales.
